Herbs, Herbs, Herbs! Ready
to Plant Now!
Swansons is proud to offer a selection
of naturally grown herbs that are cultivated without the
use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. Although many do
not carry the label of Certified Organic, these herbs can
be trusted to be a free of chemicals.
If you are looking for herbs grown by
Certified Organic growers we do offer a selection of certified
organic herbs from Westwind Farms in Oregon and Stephanie’s
Organic Herbs in Tonasket, WA. Look for those specific grower’s
tags in our Herb section for the Certified Organic items.
We carry a complete line of herbs from
the common to the unusual.
We offer a wide selection of Mint, Thyme,
Oregano, Marjoram, Sage and Rosemary as well as over 15 varieties
of Lavender.
Although many unusual herbs are only available
during a specific season, we try to stock as many hard to
find items as we can to give you the best selection possible.
Chervil,
Lovage, French Tarragon, Chamomile, Anise Hyssop, true
French Sorrel and the bulbous Italian Fennel are a few
of the harder to find herbs that can be found here. As
the season warms, look for our broad selection of Basil as
well as Cuban Oregano and Epazote for Mexican cooking.
Don’t forget to plant plenty of herbs for adding a special
refreshing touch to your summer cocktails.
See our handout The
Bartender’s Garden for
suggestions and general guidelines on using herbs in alcoholic
beverages.
