While heading outside to do a little weeding on a recent sunny day I decide to check out my currant bushes. The leaves had been chewed on and in some cases only the leaf stem and veins were left!
La Vie en Roses!
It's rose season and we are so excited that we just have to spread the news! Swansons is delighted to offer our customers the best selection of roses that we have ever seen anywhere. Seriously. All the roses now in stock have clean, glossy foliage and large, swelling flower buds that will begin opening this week.
Tales of an Intrepid Traveler: Rolf in Tasmania, part 2

Yesterday was a busy day in the garden and when I leave I'll miss being able to do chores in my shorts and tank top. Peter had moved the grass the evening before so obviously the nocturnal Wallabies seem to have enjoyed munching on the grass clippings and leaving their calling cards (which I raked up!)
Just Hatched: A New Update
Greetings from the coop! Another week and another blog that's for the birds! Java, Juliet and Midnight are doing well and getting bigger all the time. They seem to have grown a little more every time I see them (and I see them several times a day!). In fact, they look quite different from even a week ago.
